2021 Planned Breedings
Two of my does were bred to a friends buck, UdderDestiny Mint Ice Cream (MIC).
I have admired MIC (Mint Ice Cream) since he was a little guy. MICs dam was a classic old-style Lamancha
that milked and milked. Her body and udder capacious, her teats well placed, her attachments stayed
strong into retirement, she just didn’t have a lot of height. MIC is tall but also wide, wide with
a beautiful top-line and brisket. To complement all that capacity he has a high escutcheon.
Below is a photo of MIC the day he won Best Buck in Show, Grand Champion and Reserve Grand X2 at
the MTDGA Spring Fling Show. His grand-sire Cayds Castle Dustin is another buck that I’ve admired
and MIC has a very similar build. I’m hoping to really solidify that wide and deep body type on legs
that match it in my Seraphina dam line with these breedings.

POLICIES:
Regarding Sales: We reserve the right to refuse to sell our goats to
anyone for any reason. We aren't in the business of breeding goats for
profit and as such have a limited number of kids available.
We apologize in advance if our policies seem overly strict. These policies
exist because of prior experiences with persons who did not honor their
commitments, placing us in an awkward situation.
About Reservations (on unborn kids):
Reservations are $50 for each kid our of each reserved breeding
Reservations can be made by PayPal or Venmo, I will send an invoice
to you after you email me at goats@parhamfarms.com and we’ve
had a chance to answer any of your questions. The $50 fee is applied
to the total purchase price.
Each of our reservations for 2021 kids, locks in a $300 total
purchase price for an ADGA registered kid. We register the kid
and provide you with the registration papers at pickup. We reserve
the right to increase that amount at any time for future reservations.
If you are interested in booking a reservation on a breeding,
please contact us and to help avoid your mail going to the
spam folder, be sure to use the subject line
"goat kids" to goats@parhamfarms.com. We should get back
to you within two days to let you know if we have reservations available.
We will accept checks in the mail, but the reservation will not be
booked until the check is received. If someone else books your
desired reservation before the check is received, you will be contacted
and the check will not be deposited but will be be voided and returned to you.
Please contact us for a mailing address, goats @ parhamfarms.com you
You can also message us through our Facebook page, Parham Farms. You'll
know its us when you see the profile photo of the burgundy product seal with the
goat in the center.
We will do our best to fill your reservation, but of course we do NOT know ahead of
time how many kids a doe will have or what sex they will be. Once kids are born from
a reserved breeding, we will contact those holding reservations to advise that the reserved
kid was or was not born, and if a refund will be issued (in the case of an unfilled
reservation) or if the reserved kid was born and the remainder of the purchase price sent.
Paying for your kid:
Dam raised kids:
Dam raised kids are kept at Parham Farms for 8-10 weeks. They will be disbudded and given their first
dose of CDT vaccination at no charge to you. The reservation fee is put towards the purchase price.
When the kid is 4 weeks old, $125 more is due. Then the balance of $125 is due when the kids are
eight weeks old.
Bottle raised kids:
We will train your kid to a bottle allowing you to raise them yourselves. We typically disbud kids at
2-3 days old. If you pick up your kid before then, you’ll need to arrange for disbudding. We can
train your kid to a bottle and bottle raise it for you for an additional $200 paid in advance.
If you want a bottle baby, you must request this in advance and put an additional
$50 ($100 total) deposit on your kid. You will need to pay the balance in cash or
with Venmo or Paypal before picking up your kid. Bottle kids will be registered online and
we will receive email confirmation of such, but ADGA may not have delivered the paper before
you leave with the kid. We will mail the paper to you via USPS with a tracking # as soon as
we receive it.
We will keep bottle raised kids that you intend to raise for no more than one week here at
the farm. If you can not pick up your bottle baby by the time it is one week old, you will
either need to pay the $200 additional fee to have us bottle raise the kid for you, or lose your deposit
and the kid will be made available to someone else. Bottle raising kids is rewarding but it is
also a serious commitment. You’ll need to be available to feed that kid at least four times a
day. We recommend a schedule allowing 8hrs overnight between feedings and about 5 hours between
feedings during the day for the first 4 weeks, then 3 feedings a day, 8 hours apart for the
next 4 weeks. If you wish to continue bottle feeding after that, set the schedule to suit
yourself. It’s a great way to bond with your goat. Dam raised kids do not generally accept a
bottle.
Whatever you chose, the total balance on the kids must be paid by the time the kid is 8 weeks
old or is picked up whichever comes first. If the purchase price is not paid by the time the kids are 8 weeks
old, unless you and I have agreed to other arrangements in writing - via email, the
reservation fee is forfeited, there will be no refund, and
the kid will be offered to the next interested buyer or listed as available on the website.
The balance due must be received before the kid can be picked up. If you wait
to pay the day of pick up, you must bring cash or venmo me. If you want to pay by check,
please mail the check early enough to allow 7 banking days before pickup is scheduled.
Adults animals:
Arrangements should be made as soon as possible for the pick up of any non-nursing
animals. Your deposit holds your animal here for 1 week unless
you have contacted us and made prior arrangments for a longer stay. If the animal
you have placed a deposit on stays here beyond 1 week, a $2.50 per day boarding fee will
be charged against your deposit. We will do our best to work with you, but after 4 weeks,
you forfeit the deposit and the animal will be relisted for sale.
Nursing kids are expected to stay on the farm until they can be weaned, which
is typically at 8 weeks. Bottle fed kids can be picked up anytime after they are
born. We will typically provide you a gallon or two of frozen milk for your
bottle kid if you bring a cooler. If you live nearby we can make arrangements provide
you with milk for your bottle baby until they are 8 weeks old.
When we dam raise kids, we separate buck kids from their dams and sisters at 8 weeks of age,
to prevent any unwanted pregnancies. Though it is unlikely for a buck so young to be able to
inseminate successfully, it can happen any time after they are able to extend their pizzle.
Thus due to limited space, we request buck kids be picked up as soon as possible after they
reach 8 weeks of age. Doe kids need to be picked up by 10 weeks of age unless
prior arrangments exist to avoid a boarding fee of $2.50 per day per kid that will need to be
paid prior to pickup.
Should there be no kid to fill your reservation, or we feel that the kid
born is not acceptable, your money will be fully refunded. If we chose to terminate the sale
at any time or for any reason, all monies you have paid will be refunded. Reservation
Fees and Deposits are not refunded on buyer canceled orders.
Any prices listed on the breeding page are for unborn reserved kids only.
Pricing on unreserved kids is subject to change, at our discretion, either up or
down.
Reservations Fees and Deposits ARE NOT REFUNDABLE IF THE BUYER CANCELS THE SALE.
FULLY REFUNDABLE IF THE KIDS ARE NOT BORN.
